Responsible Citizenship Badge Assessment Outline
Golden Guides should complete activities or challenges in all three parts of the assessment – “Individual”, “Family” and “Community”. Ask your Leader to sign each item after you have completed it.
Individual

Honesty
Share a personal experience of honesty in a unit meeting, e.g. handling lost property in public, reporting theft acts safely, etc.

Sense of achievement
Share three personal strengths and how you gain a sense of achievement from them, e.g. cooking a special dish appreciated by family members, doing embroidery, etc.

Communication skills
Learn and share a skill with others, e.g. making an artwork from red packets, practising Tai Chi or Chi Kung, etc.
Family

Respect
Care for or help an elderly person, family member or friend, e.g. make telephone calls with him or her regularly, looking after young children at home, etc.

Collaborative participation
Undergo an activity with family members, friends or Golden Guide members in your unit, e.g. having BBQ together at mid-Autumn Festival, making cakes for Chinese New Year, etc.
Community

Leadership
Help in organising or carrying out an intergenerational event in Guiding, e.g. joining intergenerational interest classes, camps, services; organising a game stall, etc.
