Responsible Citizenship Badge Assessment Outline

 

Rangers should complete the activities or challenges in all three parts of the assessment – “Individual”, “Family” and “Community”. Ask your guider to sign each item after you have completed it.

 

Individual

1. Honesty

   Share a video clip on honesty during a unit meeting.

2. Decision making

   Comment on the behaviour of one character in the above video clip.

3. Courage

   Challenge yourself to attempt an adventurous activity you have never tried before, e.g. rock-climbing, orienteering, diving, etc.

 

Family          

1. Respect for the elderly

   Learn a new skill from an elderly person, e.g. making tea, making a traditional food item, etc.

2. Cooperation

   Plan and undergo a one-day family excursion.

 

Community

1. Civic responsibility

   Draft a proposal and carry out a three-hour community service project.
